The family can have many variations. Blended families (2nd marriages with kids) can add a new dimension with particular complications. Building respect and trust are necessary for love to grow.
Family counseling can help each member communicate and adjust expectations. Sessions won’t always include the whole family. A lot of the process includes meeting with the various subsystems in the family (e.g. the parents, biological father-daughter, etc.) The counseling process is customized to the specific needs of each unique family.
